What Is Maple Syrup?

Maple syrup is a tree sap produced mainly in Cana­dian Quebec. Canada is associated with this product but is also made in the US. The raw material is harvested in early spring, during the first snowmelt. Holes are drilled in maple trees, extracting the golden liquid. It is then evaporated until a thick, sweet syrup is obtained.
