What is Lewy Body Dementia?

Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is a type of neurodegenerative disease. It means that during Lewy body dementia, there are various pathological changes in the central nervous system. As a result, there are memory problems – dementia. Dementia with Lewy bodies results from the accumulation of abnormal protein deposits in the brain, called Lewy bodies.
