What Is Estrogen?
The primary estrogen hormone, estradiol, is produced in the ovary, and its levels fluctuate throughout the menstrual cycle. The highest estradiol concentration occurs between the cycle’s 12th and 14th day. Men also produce small amounts of estrogen in the testicles.
